Your Opportunity We are currently seeking a dedicated Site Inspector to support our construction and inspection team on major civil and infrastructure projects across Ontario. You will play a critical role in verifying field work, ensuring contract compliance, monitoring quality and safety, and keeping projects on track. Key Responsibilities * Conduct routine on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure they align with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety standards. * Review pre-construction conditions and coordinate with contractors to document field work and deviations. * Prepare daily inspection reports, maintain photographic and diary records, and escalate issues as required. * Monitor contractor performance including materials, workmanship, permits, testing, and hold-points; raise non-conformance reports when necessary. * Liaise with contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely resolution of issues and compliance across disciplines. * Participate in site meetings, attend pre-inspections and walk-throughs, and support project close-out efforts by compiling final inspection records and punch-lists. * Use mobile tools and reporting software (e.g., Excel, Outlook) to document and track inspection activities. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience * Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in construction inspection, site supervision, or a related role on heavy civil/infrastructure projects. * Strong working knowledge of construction methods (earthworks, concrete, structural steel, utilities) and inspection/testing protocols. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly document findings and interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. * High attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and ability to manage multiple tasks on fast-moving sites. * Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle; comfortable travelling to regional projects and working in diverse weather conditions. * Familiarity with MS Office suite and mobile inspection/reporting tools. Experience with Bluebeam or similar is an asset. * Overtime, weekend or shift work may be required depending on project phase. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management with 2-4 years of relevant experience. A valid Ontario driver's license and proficiency in construction inspection protocols are required.
