Job summary
Job Description Some of what you will do: As a communications intern, you will support the corporate communications and CSR team by assisting with marketing communications projects, corporate giving initiatives, and internal communications. You will gain hands-on experience with corporate communications programs such as employee engagement, HR communications, change management, diversity and inclusion communications, corporate business meetings, and more. Additionally, you will help maintain communications databases and files, assist in responding to sponsorship and donation requests, and contribute to content creation for internal communication channels. You will also support Staples’ DEI and CSR initiatives, including Pride and our Annual Golf Fundraising event for Even the Odds, as well as social media posts for employee value, brand, DEI, and CSR activities. Furthermore, you will assist in the planning and execution of internal and external events. Specifically, You Will Assist in building presentation decks by gathering data, images, and content. Provide support for the Annual Conference, including overseeing the awards process. Translate stakeholder input and ideas into effective presentation decks. Help post documents and news items on the HUB (intranet) and assist in developing an editorial calendar for the internal newsletter. Support the planning and execution of Associate Appreciation Weeks across the company. Maintain and manage the internal corporate communications calendar. Assist with the creation of internal communications content for various departments. Support Staples’ DEI and CSR initiatives, including Pride and our Annual Golf Fundraising event for Even the Odds. Assist in creating social media content for employee value, brand, DEI, and CSR activities. Support the coordination and execution of internal and external events. Some Of What You Need Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university or college program in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and basic video editing software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. Requirements
