You will oversee all aspects of the accounting function, mentor a small finance team, and collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to deliver financial insights that drive informed decisions, improve performance, and support the company’s continued growth. Main responsibilities include: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and business plans to support strategic decision-making Manage cash-flow, banking relationships, financing, working capital, and treasury operations Oversee project accounting, including WIP reporting, revenue recognition, job costing, profitability analysis, and financial performance Direct core accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, HST, WISB, insurance, and external audit coordination Develop and strengthen financial policies, internal controls, accounting processes, and regulatory compliance to support business growth Drive finance systems improvement, automation, AI initiatives, and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency and decision-making Provide leadership to the accounting team, while partnering with senior leadership on strategic planning, operational improvements, and organizational growth.
