*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician and apprenticed to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to work with various hand tools and equipment. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in compliance with safety regulations and standards. *Responsibilities* * Install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and regulations. * Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine system layout and requirements. * Utilize hand tools to fabricate necessary components for installations. * Conduct regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards. * Perform troubleshooting on malfunctioning systems, identifying issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills. * Collaborate with other trades such as HVAC technicians when necessary to ensure integrated system performance. * Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. *Qualifications* * Proven experience in plumbing, or related fields is preferred. * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively. * Familiarity with fire protection systems and relevant codes is a plus. * Ability to read schematics and technical drawings. * Basic math skills for calculations related to system design and installation. * A commitment to safety protocols and practices in all aspects of work.
