Role Description The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume, upscale environment. This full-time, on-site role is based at STK Toronto in Toronto, ON, and includes managing host, server, and bar teams during service, coordinating reservations and seating, and maintaining smooth communication between front and back of house. The Front of House Manager monitors service standards, resolves guest concerns, supports staff during peak periods, and reinforces brand-specific service guidelines. Additional responsibilities include training and coaching team members, assisting with scheduling, contributing to sales and revenue goals, and supporting special events or private dining. The role requires a strong floor presence, a hands-on approach, and consistent attention to ambiance, cleanliness, and safety. Qualifications Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and effective coordination with guests and team members. Excellent Customer Service skills, with a proven ability to create memorable guest experiences, handle feedback professionally, and resolve issues promptly. Solid Food & Beverage knowledge, including familiarity with steakhouse cuisine, wine and cocktail service, and upscale dining standards. Experience in Training and coaching front-of-house staff, including onboarding, performance feedback, and ongoing skills development. Sales-focused mindset, with the ability to drive revenue through upselling, promoting specials, and supporting marketing or event initiatives. Previous front-of-house supervisory or management experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment, preferably upscale or high-volume. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with skill in managing multiple priorities during busy service periods. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in restaurant operations, and to stand and move for extended periods. Professional, inclusive leadership style, with a commitment to maintaining a respectful, team-oriented workplace.
