The Student Legal Fund Society was founded to support litigation, advocacy, and lobbying for improved education and access to education at UBC, and other matters of law that set broad precedent and are of concern to UBC students. The Society was founded as an independent non-profit in 1998 and is funded by a $1/year membership fee collected from each UBC student.

Review and assess potential cases for legal merit, likelihood of success, and potential to establish precedent that benefits students. Collaborate with committee members to evaluate proposed actions and recommend funding and support to the SLFS Board of Directors.
