Job summary

Responsibilities Tasks Operate buses, school busses or streetcars to transport passengers Report delays, mechanical problems and accidents Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures Complete logbooks and reports Communicate with passengers, dispatchers or other drivers using two-way radio systems Ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing street while bus is stopped Maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviours that could compromise safety Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles) Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C) Additional information Security and safety Criminal record check Driving record check (abstract) Medical exam Transportation/travel information Driver's abstract Valid driver's licence Personal suitability Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Vision care benefits Financial benefits As per collective agreement Other Benefits Free parking available
