*Sechelt Suncoast Guardian currently has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team! * We are seeking a motivated individual with 1+ year of pharmacy assistant experience, but we?re also open to training the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This role also offers opportunities for growth within the company based on performance. Starting wage will be based on experience. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Excellent customer service skills are required, greet customers promptly and gather prescriptions to be handed out * Answer telephone, ensuring that appropriate telephone etiquette is used at all times and handling customer inquiries * Enter repeat prescription orders * Manage incoming faxes * Data entry for new prescriptions * Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws *Requirements* * Attention to details and willingness to work with the public. * 1 year of previous Pharmacy Assistant experience * Confidentiality and privacy required at all times. * Ability to effectively communicate with the public at large, potentially overcome language barriers while demonstrating genuine care and concern. * Experience with Nexxsys/Propel software is preferred. * High School Diploma required *Work Conditions* * Manual dexterity required. * Interacts with employees, management and the public at large. #LP1 Pay: From $21.00 per hour Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * pharmacy: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
