Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of finance and accounting services and help drive continuous improvement Plan, coordinate, and execute a range of accounting assignments, including more complex projects Resolve accounting issues independently and use sound judgment to set priorities and meet deadlines Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement practical solutions Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior team members Review work and act as a trusted resource on accounting-related matters Collaborate with colleagues and senior specialists to address complex issues Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decisions Location and other Key details: The position will be based at the Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Center at 150 – 6th Ave S.W Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work Think we are a fit? Requirements
Candidates must hold a university degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and possess a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is required, with proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
