Safety Focused: We care about you and have committed to a zero-harm workplace. Located in our Calgary office, the individual in the Senior Tax Analyst role will report to the Manager, Tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for Canadian corporate tax compliance, tax provisions, tax forecasting and other tax related responsibilities within Superior. What you'll do: Prepare and/or review direct Canadian income tax compliance, including T2, T5013, NR4, T106, and T1134 filings for all relevant entities Prepare monthly tax installments Prepare required documentation for Canadian tax provisions for compliance with SOX, internal controls, policies, and procedures Tracking all notices of assessment and all other taxation authority correspondence and proactively resolving issues. Preparing Canadian tax provisions for external financial statement purposes, including coordination of the divisional and corporate reporting responsibilities surrounding tax provision reporting process, review of materials provided and ongoing communication, training etc. including becoming Longview tax provision software champion. Accounting research and implementation of new standards with respect to taxation issues. Assist with ongoing income tax audits with Canadian tax authorities Liaise with external auditors and tax advisers Performing certain administrative tasks as required. What you bring: Post-secondary degree with a major in Finance/Accounting. CPA Accounting designation. CPA – In-depth tax course Level I, II is an asset. Four or more years of experience in a corporate tax role, with direct experience in tax return preparation and income tax provisions. Ability to focus on continuous improvement, through process improvement and training. High degree of self-motivation and initiative with a proactive and results-oriented approach. Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills, in order to manage multiple priorities and competing demands with tight timelines. Strong Excel skills required, experience with Alteryx and Longview is an asset. Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
