Supervise the foreman’s daily activities; ensuring their crews tasks are performed efficiently. Ensuring all safety practice and procedures are followed by generating site-specific safety protocols. Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints. Coordinating and managing scheduling conflicts between sub-contractors. Maintaining records of daily construction activities, including worker timesheets, daily progress reports and safety documentation. Maintaining positive and professional relationships with external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Superintendent Qualifications: 10 or more year’s combined field experience in Civil Construction (earthworks and/or underground utilities) with a minimum of 5 years as a superintendent in heavy civil construction. Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on operations and business processes. Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
