Position Head – Sales & Business Development, Canada Location Toronto, Canada Department - Sales & Business Development Role Purpose Swift Cargo Inc. is seeking a commercially driven and entrepreneurial Head – Sales & Business Development, Canada to lead the growth and overall business performance of our Canadian operations, based in Toronto, Canada. Swift Cargo is a global third-party logistics (3PL) provider with a 35-year debt-free history, 600+ employees and an expanding international footprint. This is a high-impact leadership role for a senior commercial professional who can drive revenue and market expansion while taking end-to-end accountability for the profitability and performance of the Canadian business. While the primary mandate is Sales, Business Development and Commercial Growth, the role will operate as the country business leader for Canada, with oversight of P&L, operations, people, customer experience and country-level business performance. The position reports to the Head of Region and works closely with the Group leadership and global functional teams Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and execute the Canadian sales and business development strategy. Drive revenue, gross profit, market share and customer acquisition. Build and lead a high-performing sales team with clear targets, pipelines and KPIs. Acquire and grow key strategic accounts and develop long-term customer relationships. Identify new markets, trade lanes, products and business opportunities. Build strong relationships across the Canadian logistics and freight market. P&L & Business Leadership Own the end-to-end Canadian P&L, including revenue, margins, costs and profitability. Drive pricing, margin management, forecasting and commercial discipline. Prepare regular business reviews covering P&L, sales performance, pipeline, risks and opportunities. Work closely with Finance and Group leadership on budgets, forecasts and business plans. Operations & Country Oversight Provide overall leadership and oversight of the Canadian business, ensuring strong coordination between Sales, Operations, Finance, HR and Customer Service. Ensure operational performance, service quality, customer retention and cost efficiency. Oversee key logistics verticals including Truck Brokerage, Ocean/Air Freight, Customs Brokerage, Consol Containers, Reefer and Project Cargo. Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian legal, regulatory, tax and industry requirements. People & Leadership Build a high-performance, accountable and commercially focused team. Recruit, develop and retain strong sales and business leadership talent. Set clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations across the Canadian organisation. Foster a culture of ownership, integrity, collaboration and customer focus. Job Specification 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, commercial leadership or general management, preferably in 3PL, freight forwarding, logistics or transportation. Proven track record of building sales, acquiring major customers and delivering revenue and margin growth. Experience managing or contributing directly to a P&L. Strong understanding of Canadian logistics, freight forwarding and international trade. Strong commercial, financial, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills. Entrepreneurial, hands-on and highly execution oriented. Existing relationships within the Canadian logistics/freight market will be an advantage. Excellent English; French is an advantage The Opportunity This is not a conventional Sales Head role. We are looking for someone who can sell like a Sales Leader, think like a General Manager and own the Canadian P&L like a business owner. Compensation A base salary of CAD 120k plus a transparent as well as generous performance-based payout.

Requirements
