Software Engineer (React / TypeScript) Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid Pay Range: $46-$51/hour We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a collaborative development team focused on building scalable web-based applications and frameworks used across multiple products and platforms. In this role, you'll work closely with software engineers, QA professionals, and designers to develop high-quality solutions that support modern web experiences and cross-platform development initiatives. What You'll Be Doing Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready applications Contribute to planning activities by estimating work, identifying dependencies, and assessing technical risks Support the development of reusable, maintainable, and scalable application components Work within Agile development environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Required Experience 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills Professional experience developing production software using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools as part of a regular development workflow Strong experience with: JavaScript TypeScript React Redux Node.js / NPM Experience building modern web applications using component-based architectures Strong understanding of software design and architecture principles Experience using Git and GitHub for source control Experience working within Agile development teams Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices Strong collaboration and communication skills Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development Nice-to-Have Experience Experience supporting large-scale web applications Exposure to test automation tools and strategies Experience contributing to shared frameworks or platform initiatives Ideal Candidate We're looking for a developer who combines strong engineering fundamentals with modern web development experience and has embraced AI-assisted development tools as part of their day-to-day workflow. Candidates should regularly use AI-assisted coding tools and have experience with Git/GitHub, Agile teams, software architecture, CI/CD, and automated testing practices.
