Our challenge We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets / Domain SME (Lead) to provide strategic, functional, and industry expertise across capital markets products, operations, technology, and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, translating complex capital markets requirements into practical solutions and leading delivery across multidisciplinary teams. This role requires strong knowledge of the front-to-back capital markets lifecycle, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to shape and deliver strategic change within a complex financial-services environment. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Support strategic planning, roadmap development, and business-prioritization activities. Analyze business performance, operational metrics, and market or organizational trends. Prepare management reports, presentations, dashboards, and decision materials. Conduct financial, operational, and scenario analyses. Track strategic initiatives, milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes. Gather and synthesize information from business and technology stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth. Support governance forums, planning cycles, and executive updates. Develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis. Coordinate with project and delivery teams to monitor execution. Requirements: Experience in strategy, business analysis, management consulting, finance, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities. Ability to build clear business cases, presentations, and executive-level communications. Experience managing multiple priorities and working with senior stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred, but not required: Hands-on exposure to Murex, Loan IQ, ACBS, Axiom SL or comparable capital-markets and regulatory-reporting platforms. Prior participation in a data mesh or data-product domain decomposition. Understanding of critical data element definition and attestation for regulatory reporting.
