Internal Job Posting Purpose The Manager, Business Development is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for Buckhead Meat within Sysco's operating companies (OPCOs) and direct customer base. This role involves market analysis, product development, relationship building, salesforce training, and collaborating with internal teams to drive revenue growth and achieve company objectives. This role is a step below Director, focusing more on execution and less on overarching strategy. Responsibilities Analyze Business Opportunities: Evaluate the potential of new business opportunities by assessing market size, potential strategies, and financial implications. Drive Sales Growth: Establish sales objectives and goals, developing and executing plans to increase sales and market share. Manage Product Development Projects: Manage projects related to product development and ideation, working with internal teams to bring new products to market. Build & Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with Sysco OPCOs, direct customers, and key industry stakeholders. Salesforce Training & Support: Assist in the education, training, and development of the salesforce on Buckhead Meat products and sales strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to various departments, working closely with the Sysco regional marketing team to develop point-of-sale (POS) and marketing materials. Skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of sales and marketing principles. Understanding of financial concepts and business analysis. Certifications Education Bachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree Experience 7+ years of experience, of which at least 2 leading a team Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations will be taken where necessary Travel Requirements 25%-50%

Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, plus at least seven years of experience, including two years leading a team. Candidates should have strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; knowledge of sales, marketing, and financial concepts; and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
