Salary Range: $36,300- $68,100 Peterborough, ON Purpose The Cycle Counter plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and minimizing shrinkage within the distribution center. This position is responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory control. Responsibilities Conduct thorough and accurate cycle counts of inventory, including all pick and reserve slots. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including out-of-balance items, discrepancies, and product condition issues. Research root causes of inventory variances, such as receiving errors, put-away errors, and product damage. Inventory Control Processes: Monitor inventory levels and identify potential issues. Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions. Support the implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures and best practices. Quality Control: Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items. Monitor FIFO rotation and address any issues. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze inventory data to identify trends and identify areas for improvement. Generate reports on inventory performance and discrepancies. Support Functions: Process inventory transfers and other inventory adjustments as required. Support the product recall process. Skills Data Analysis: Basic data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Certifications Education High school diploma or GED Experience 2+ years of experience Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move between 41 and 50 pounds, and seldom lift and/or move 51 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
