We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a senior Identity Engineer with expertise in Microsoft IAM and EntraID to design, develop, automate, and support enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for one of our global Technology and Industrial partners. This role is 100% remote, Eastern Time zone. ABOUT THE PROJECT Our client is a global leader in technology and industrial solutions, supporting more than 18,000 employees across a complex, geographically distributed enterprise environment. As part of the Infrastructure organization, the Senior Identity Engineer will play a key role in strengthening and modernizing the identity services that enable secure access to enterprise systems, applications, and resources. Working within a small, highly collaborative Identity Engineering team, the successful candidate will design scalable identity solutions, develop automation, integrate enterprise platforms, and resolve complex identity-related challenges. The role will also contribute to the evolution of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities. This is a senior, hands-on engineering position requiring strong Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and PowerShell expertise, combined with a security-first mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions. Engineer and support integrations between Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, HR systems, enterprise applications, and other identity platforms. Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerShell scripts and automation to improve identity processes, reliability, consistency, and operational efficiency. Troubleshoot complex authentication, authorization, provisioning, access management, and identity lifecycle issues. Perform root cause analysis of identity-related incidents and implement sustainable, long-term solutions. Collaborate with Information Security to strengthen identity governance, least privilege, privileged access, and access management practices. Work with business stakeholders to understand identity-related processes and translate requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions. Support identity lifecycle management, including provisioning, access changes, and deprovisioning across enterprise systems. Lead or contribute to identity-related migrations, acquisitions, enterprise integrations, and modernization initiatives. Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex identity and access issues. Collaborate with Corporate Infrastructure, Information Security, HR, Messaging, Global Service Desk, application owners, and distributed IT teams. Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, operational procedures, and automation standards. Mentor team members and share technical knowledge and best practices. Identify opportunities to improve identity architecture, security, automation, and operational processes. Contribute to the ongoing development of enterprise Identity Governance and Privileged Access Management capabilities. ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or related identity technologies. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory in enterprise environments. Advanced PowerShell scripting skills, including experience developing reliable automation and improving operational processes. Experience integrating identity platforms with enterprise applications, HR systems, and other business technologies. Strong experience troubleshooting authentication, authorization, provisioning, identity lifecycle, and access-related issues. Solid understanding of modern identity and authentication technologies, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, and Kerberos. Understanding of identity governance, least privilege, privileged access, and enterprise access management best practices. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with a structured approach to root cause analysis and problem resolution. Experience translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions. Ability to work collaboratively across Infrastructure, Information Security, Service Desk, HR, and other technical and business teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical challenges, and drive solutions through to completion. A proactive, security-focused mindset with a strong interest in automation, continuous improvement, and emerging identity technologies. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Identity Governance and Administration platforms, particularly Saviynt. Experience implementing or supporting Privileged Access Management solutions. Experience with Microsoft Graph and the Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK. Familiarity with Git or other source control systems. Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments. Experience developing enterprise automation and workflow orchestration solutions. Experience supporting identity migrations, mergers and acquisitions, or large-scale enterprise integration initiatives. Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and operational service management practices. Experience supporting identity services within large, globally distributed enterprise environments. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a remote opportunity supporting a global enterprise infrastructure environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a distributed Identity Engineering team and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business units and geographic locations. This position requires someone who brings more than traditional identity administration experience.
