Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer

We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer for our Life Sciences client. ABOUT THE PROJECT Our client is a global life sciences organization undertaking a large-scale ServiceNow transformation across multiple regions and operating companies. As part of a global initiative to modernize and standardize IT Service Management (ITSM), the organization is implementing ServiceNow as its enterprise platform for core ITSM capabilities while expanding its IT Operations Management (ITOM) footprint. The Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade integrations between ServiceNow and a diverse ecosystem of business applications, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and infrastructure services. Working closely with Solution Architects, Platform Engineers, Infrastructure teams, Application Owners, and business stakeholders, you will deliver secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions that enhance automation, improve operational visibility, and support enterprise service management across the organization. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES As the Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting complex integrations across the ServiceNow platform while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, governance standards, and ITIL best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust integration solutions supporting both ITSM and ITOM capabilities across a large-scale enterprise environment. Responsibilities include: Design and implement enterprise integration architectures supporting ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM solutions Develop and maintain secure, scalable integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, identity services, ERP systems, collaboration platforms, and DevOps toolchains Build and support integrations utilizing REST APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL, event-driven architecture, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, MID Servers, and Scripted APIs Design and implement integrations supporting Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, CMDB, Asset Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Operational Intelligence, Cloud Discovery, and Orchestration Develop middleware integrations utilizing enterprise integration platforms including Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Informatica, Kafka, or equivalent technologies Design and implement automation workflows that reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and enable event-driven incident response and remediation Support CMDB integration strategy through configuration item ingestion, reconciliation, data validation, and ongoing data quality initiatives Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Platform Teams to establish integration standards, governance, and best practices Implement CI/CD pipelines, version control processes, release management practices, and Infrastructure as Code principles supporting ServiceNow integration deployments Produce high-quality technical documentation including solution designs, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, operational procedures, and support documentation Troubleshoot complex integration issues spanning multiple enterprise platforms while identifying opportunities to improve performance, resiliency, scalability, and automation Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow integration practice ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years of enterprise integration engineering experience supporting complex enterprise environments 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting ServiceNow platform integrations Proven experience implementing integrations across ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM capabilities Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations Hands-on experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, MID Servers, Business Rules, Scripted APIs, and scoped applications Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, Event Management, and ITOM architecture Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, SolarWinds, or SCOM Experience with middleware and enterprise integration technologies including Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Informatica, Kafka, or similar platforms Proficiency with JavaScript and experience with Python and PowerShell; Java experience is considered an asset Experience supporting Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or hybrid cloud environments Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps platforms Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, security protocols, authentication technologies, and API governance Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies and large enterprise transformation programs Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is preferred ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM and/or Discovery) certification is considered a strong asset ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification is considered an asset ABOUT THE ROLE Location: Remote (Eastern Time) with flexibility to collaborate across additional time zones as required Duration: 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extension Work hours: Full-time, primarily aligned to Eastern Time (ET), with flexibility to support UK/Europe business hours when required AI DISCLOSURE We may use artificial intelligence (AI) or other automated tools to support parts of our recruitment process.
