Understand better who we are by visiting www.systracanada.com. Context Systra is looking for Cable Containment Civil Specialist to join the new LRT Project in Ontario. Missions/Main Duties Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• developing and checking of the cable containment design and delivery.• Supporting interfaces with Traction Power, Signaling, Communications, Civil/Structural, Trackwork, Stations/Architectural, and Utilities, ensuring physical and functional integration.• Support the management of System Interfaces• Be the Lead checker of the cable containment designs, drawings, and specifications.• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and project requirements (CSA, OESC).• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, material approvals, method statements, and RFIs, providing timely technical responses and design clarifications.• Attend project meetings and provide technical expertise.• Participate in design reviews and hazard/interface workshops, providing containment input to support safe, buildable, and maintainable solutions.• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies. • Maintain project records and ensure proper documentation.• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.• Stay updated with latest communication technologies and best practices. • Promote process improvements and innovation within the team. Profile/Skills • 5-10 Years Experience in cable containment design, with 2+ Years experience in Canadian Transit environment.• Active modeling Experience with Civil3D• Working knowledge of relevant building codes in Ontario• Can work collaboratively with the Intermediate and junior Engineers/Specialists, and other disciplines.• Metrolinx experience an asset.
