Context The Structural Modeller (Revit) will support the Stops & TPSS scope by producing and coordinating architectural documentation for transit facilities. The role focuses on preparing consistent drawing packages across multiple locations while adapting corridor-wide standards to site-specific conditions. Missions/Main Duties BIM Modeling & Drawing Production: Develop and maintain high-quality 3D structural Revit models and extract 2D drawing sets (foundation plans, slab layouts, structural sections, rebar details, and steel connection details). Lead Support: Support the Structural Engineers and Design Lead in executing production deliverables required for major project milestones (Checkpoints, Issue for Estimation, Issue for Construction). Clash Detection & Spatial Coordination: Participate in federated model reviews in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / Navisworks to identify and resolve structural clashes with MEP, architectural, and civil utility conduits. Detailing & Rebar Schedules: Prepare concrete reinforcement details, steel embedment plans, and structural schedules under the supervision of senior technical staff. Document Control: Maintain model folder structures, CAD/BIM standards, drawing logs, and digital submission packages in accordance with project BIM Execution Plans. Profile/Skills Education: Diploma or Degree in Structural Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or Architectural Technology from a recognized college/polytechnic, or B.Sc. in Civil/Structural Engineering. Experience: Minimum 3 years of practical structural drafting and 3D BIM modeling experience within a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural) and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Navisworks for 3D clash detection is highly desirable. Codes & Drafting Standards: Basic understanding of structural concrete/steel detailing standards, structural drawing conventions, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
