We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Mine Maintenance Supervisor. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will be on a 7/on 7/off rotation of days and nights, 12-hour shifts. Relocation assistance and temporary accommodations are provided where necessary. Job Responsibilities: * Manage staff of Heavy-Duty Equipment Technicians and Welders; inspire and drive engagement, productivity and performance. * Drive and promote a safety culture ensuring compliance with all safety policies. * Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day activities and operations of mobile equipment shop. * Direct and control mobile equipment maintenance repairs and shop overhead cost. * Ensure compliance with Preventative Maintenance Programs. * Monitor the history of mobile equipment service failure, identify trends, and develop action plans to prevent future failures. * Oversee the coordination and prioritization of repairs. * Utilize maintenance software program for activity and equipment history tracking. * Manage mobile equipment parts inventory. * Manage the purchase of mobile equipment parts, working in collaboration with purchasing. * Interface with vendors for prioritization and expediting. * Ensure shop complies with environmental policies * Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications: * Working knowledge of mechanical operations including safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization. * Previous supervisory experience. * Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees. * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Comfortable with a fast-paced environment. * Excellent work ethic, and attendance record. Education & Experience: * Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic preferred * Experienced HDET with mining background may be considered License: * Driver’s License (Required)
