About

Talent 25 is a pioneering 25-year action research programme based in Leicester, UK, dedicated to exploring the impact of sustained engagement in arts and culture on children's development from infancy through to adulthood. Launched in 2019 through a collaboration between De Montfort University and Arts Council England, the initiative focuses on providing free creative activities - such as music, storytelling, dance, and messy play in Leicester. The study engages 440 children and their parents across the City of Leicester. By tracking participants over time, Talent 25 aims to understand how early exposure to the arts influences long-term cultural engagement and personal development, with the goal of ensuring that every child has the opportunity to become a creative and culturally engaged citizen.
