Achev’s latest Impact Report: www.Achev.ca Recruitment Specialist (Temporary 3-Month Contract) Start Date: Immediately Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) Work Arrangement: 2 days in office, 3 days remote Term: Temporary Full-Time Contract (3 Months) Reports To: Head of Human Resources About The Role We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our Human Resources team on a temporary three-month contract to cover a leave of absence. Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources, this role will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle across multiple positions and programs, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers while supporting the organization's immediate staffing needs. This is a hands-on role focused on operational recruitment delivery rather than workforce planning or talent strategy. The successful candidate will be able to quickly build relationships, manage competing priorities, and independently drive recruitment activities from requisition to offer. Key Responsibilities Manage the full recruitment cycle, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offer preparation, and onboarding coordination. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide recruitment support throughout the hiring process. Develop and post job advertisements across various platforms. Source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, networking, and other recruitment channels. Conduct candidate screening interviews and coordinate selection processes. Schedule interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers. Prepare offers of employment and support pre-employment activities. Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant tracking system data. Ensure recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, human rights requirements, and organizational policies. Contribute to a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Must Have Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing the end-to-end recruitment cycle. Experience using Dayforce Recruitment and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment processes simultaneously. Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills. Experience working directly with hiring managers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and recruitment-related human rights requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and recruitment technology. Preferred To Have Experience recruiting within the not-for-profit sector. Requirements
Requires at least 3 years of end-to-end recruitment experience and proficiency with Dayforce or other ATS platforms. Candidates must have strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and the ability to manage high-volume hiring independently.
