Junior Construction Contract Administrator Architecture, Design & Planning Firm Toronto, Ontario Full time on Site in North York, Ontario (for 3 years, then hybrid) The Company Security Clearance required or eligibility to obtain Our client is a well-established architecture and design firm with a strong reputation for delivering institutional, public, and government projects across Canada. They are looking to add a Junior Construction Contract Administrator or Contract Admin assistant to their Toronto office to support project teams during the construction phase while gaining mentorship and exposure to high level, confidential government projects. THE ROLE Working closely with senior Contract Administrators and Architects, you will assist with the administration of construction projects from tender through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in contract administration and construction review within an architectural practice and have guidance and support. Responsibilities Include Assisting with construction contract administration on a variety of confidential federal government architectural projects. Attending site visits with senior team members and documenting construction progress. Preparing site reports, meeting minutes and project documentation. Reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings and submittals before forwarding them for senior review. Assisting with the preparation of tender packages, project manuals and contract documents. Tracking site instructions, change notices and project correspondence. Coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors and clients to help keep projects moving. Supporting project teams with document control and project record management. Assisting with project closeout documentation and deficiency reviews. What's Required Minimum 4 years of industry experience with at least 2 years of experience in construction contract administration within architecture, engineering or construction Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline. 2+ Working knowledge of CCDC contract documents is considered an asset. Solid understanding of architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation. 2 years of working knowledge in North America with the Ontario Building Code and construction practices is an asset. Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD to review drawings. Strong communication, organization and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities. Security clearance or eligibility to obtain security clearance is required.
