Project Manager – ICI / Water & Wastewater Construction Peak Construction Ltd. – Colborne, Ontario Salary: $125,000–$150,000, depending on experience Peak Construction Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects within its portfolio of water and wastewater, heavy concrete, and ICI construction work. Based in Colborne, Ontario, this position is well suited to a construction professional with a strong background in technically challenging projects involving significant structural and concrete components. Candidates coming from water/wastewater construction are highly desirable, although strong ICI professionals with relevant superstructure and concrete experience will also be considered. The Project Manager will be responsible for projects from award through completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements. Responsibilities Manage construction projects from contract award through substantial completion and closeout. Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and construction milestones. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, owners, and internal project teams. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure project requirements are clearly understood. Manage RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation. Monitor project costs, commitments, forecasts, and overall project profitability. Negotiate and administer subcontractor and supplier agreements. Identify project risks, scope issues, constructability concerns, and potential cost or schedule impacts. Work closely with site supervision to coordinate sequencing, logistics, manpower, and construction activities. Participate in project meetings with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Manage change orders, including pricing, documentation, and negotiation of extras. Ensure projects comply with quality, safety, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Support commissioning, deficiencies, turnover, and project closeout. Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders throughout the construction process. Qualifications Approximately 5+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor or comparable construction organization. Experience delivering ICI, municipal, civil, water/wastewater, or heavy concrete construction projects. Strong knowledge of concrete construction and structural work is highly desirable. Experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, municipal infrastructure, or similar projects would be a strong asset. Candidates with strong ICI superstructure or concrete-heavy construction experience are also encouraged to apply. Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgets, scheduling, procurement, and change management. Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil drawings and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a deadline-driven construction environment. Strong commercial awareness and attention to project cost control. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced company leadership and take meaningful ownership over project delivery, while contributing to Peak Construction's continued work across the water/wastewater, heavy concrete, and ICI sectors. Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 base salary, depending on experience.
