Senior Stormwater Management Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Stormwater Management Engineer to join their engineering consulting team in the GTA. This is an excellent opportunity for a P.Eng.-licensed professional with strong experience in stormwater management, subdivision design, master planning, sub-watershed studies, and/or floodplain analysis. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to support and supervise junior engineering staff. Senior Stormwater Management Engineer Responsibilities Lead and support stormwater management engineering projects across Ontario. Provide technical expertise on subdivision, master planning, sub-watershed, and 1D/2D floodplain analysis projects. Develop and review stormwater management solutions, technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation. Apply applicable municipal, provincial, and environmental policies, standards, guidelines, and regulations. Review technical work and provide guidance to junior engineering staff. Supervise and mentor one or two junior team members. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners, municipalities, and other project stakeholders. Contribute to project planning, technical assessments, and preparation of engineering deliverables. Support the successful delivery of projects while maintaining high technical and professional standards. Senior Stormwater Management Engineer Qualifications & Experience P.Eng. license in Ontario is required. 8–15 years of relevant stormwater management engineering experience. Strong experience working on Ontario projects involving one or more of the following: Subdivision development Master planning and sub-watershed studies 1D or 2D floodplain analysis Candidates whose experience is limited exclusively to site plan projects will not be considered. Strong knowledge of applicable stormwater management policies, standards, guidelines, and regulations. Excellent technical writing and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior engineering staff. Currently working within an engineering consulting firm. High school and university education completed in Canada. Must currently live and work within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Willingness to work from the office a minimum of 4 days per week, with an all-days-in-office environment preferred.
