We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews and coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, carpentry, and general construction scopes on upcoming modular construction and workforce accommodation projects. The Opportunity This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role ideal for an experienced construction foreman with strong supervisory skills, practical construction coordination experience, accurate material take-off ability, and the ability to lead crews and subcontractors in active project environments. The Foreman will support project planning, onsite execution, safety, quality control, deficiency management, inspections, commissioning support, and turnover of modular and camp facility projects. Work Schedule & Travel Remote, project-based work Rotational schedule as required by project needs; Tasu suggests a base 14/7 roster with project-specific adjustments as needed Travel required throughout British Columbia and Western Canada Work may take place in construction site, remote site, and camp environments Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate field crews, apprentices, labourers, and subcontractors, including assigning work, monitoring productivity, coaching team members, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification Perform hands-on construction work as required, including carpentry, repairs, structural work, modular installations, and general construction tasks Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, carpentry, rigging, module setting, foundations, decks, stairs, landings, finishing, repairs, and related construction activities Read and apply construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documents to plan, sequence, and complete work Develop daily work plans and coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, site logistics, and sequencing with the project management team Support cost control by forecasting labour, material, tool, and equipment needs; tracking actual usage; and communicating budget or productivity concerns Complete material take-offs, verify quantities against drawings and scope, and support timely ordering, receiving, and staging of materials and supplies Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily site reports, safety records, progress updates, material records, deficiency tracking, and other required project records Identify and resolve field issues, trade conflicts, deficiencies, access constraints, and productivity challenges in a timely and practical manner Coordinate quality control, inspections, testing support, deficiency correction, commissioning support, and turnover activities with inspectors, consultants, subcontractors, and trades Follow all safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety requirements while contributing to a strong site safety culture Maintain professional communication with project management, site supervisors, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding progress, material needs, schedule impacts, and site issues Required Qualifications 5+ years of related trade, carpentry, civil, structural, mechanical, modular, or general construction experience 3+ years of construction supervision, foreman, or lead-hand experience Strong working knowledge of modular construction, camp facility installation, carpentry, foundations, structural repairs, civil works, mechanical coordination, rigging, and module setting Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, schedules, and construction documents Proven field leadership skills with the ability to assign work, monitor progress, motivate crews, delegate effectively, and maintain accountability for safety, quality, and schedule Experience with material take-offs, labour and material forecasting, purchasing coordination, receiving, and basic job budgeting support Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and other trades Knowledge of applicable provincial building codes, occupational health and safety regulations, WorkSafeBC requirements where applicable, and construction safety practices Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced construction environment Strong organization, communication, decision-making, time management, cleanliness, and professional conduct Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and digital tools for reporting, documentation, drawings, material take-offs, deficiencies, scheduling, or project coordination Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract Legally eligible to work in Canada Physically capable of performing heavy manual outdoor construction work in varying weather conditions Preferred Assets Red Seal certification, carpentry ticket, or apprenticeship training Camp, modular, workforce accommodation, remote construction, or light equipment operating experience First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS, or other construction safety training Ability to provide own hand tools What We Offer Competitive wage based on experience Overtime pay Rotational schedule Travel opportunities throughout British Columbia and Western Canada Career growth within a growing modular construction team Start Date Target start date aligned with upcoming project mobilizations.
