Job summary
Currently working with a well-established, multidisciplinary professional services firm in North Vancouver that is looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to its finance team. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Controller, with responsibility across the full accounting cycle while also providing oversight and support to the broader accounting team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an important role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting project accounting, and contributing to ongoing process improvements. The Role: Full-cycle accounting and month-end close Accounts payable, payments and reconciliations General ledger maintenance and account reconciliations Accruals and intercompany transactions Payroll processing and related reconciliations Month-end and year-end reporting and schedules Project billing and accounting support Audit and year-end review support Oversight and mentorship of accounting staff Supporting ERP implementation and process improvements The Candidate: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred Strong full-cycle accounting and month-end experience Experience with ASPE financial reporting Strong Excel and ERP skills Experience in a consulting, professional services or project-based environment is an asset Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills The organization offers a competitive compensation package, benefits, GRSP matching, bonus potential, professional development support, progressive vacation and a collaborative working environment.

Requirements
