We're Hiring: Senior & Intermediate Electrical Designers Location: Calgary, Vancouver, Kelowna or 100% Remote across Western Canada Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC Engineering Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract with a very high likelihood of extension for 12+ months. We are looking for Senior and Intermediate Electrical Designers to support oil & gas, pipeline, and industrial facility projects. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in both electrical power distribution and control system design, preferably within a small to mid-sized EPC environment. Experience Requirements Senior Electrical Designer: 7+ years of relevant Oil & Gas EPC electrical design experience. Intermediate Electrical Designer: 3+ years of relevant Oil & Gas EPC electrical design experience. Key Responsibilities Design electrical power distribution and control systems for industrial facilities. Prepare cable tray, lighting, grounding and power layouts. Develop single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics and control panel layouts. Prepare electrical load lists, cable schedules, I/O and loop drawings. Perform electrical calculations, including voltage drop, lighting levels and cable tray fill. Support compressor stations, pump stations, pipelines and brownfield facility upgrades. Review technical drawings, perform digital markups and coordinate with engineering teams. Required Skills & Experience Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3 years of Oil & Gas EPC experience (7+ years for Senior). Hands-on AutoCAD drafting experience within the last 2 years. At least 2 years of electrical power distribution design involving 480V or higher systems. At least 2 years of control system design, including control panels and Bill of Materials (BOM). Experience working on smaller-scale projects and handling multiple design deliverables. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam or similar engineering design software. Strong understanding of electrical and controls drawings, design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination. Nice to Have Experience with CADWorx, Plant 3D, Elecdes or SmartPlant. Experience with 3D modelling and design coordination. Previous experience on pipeline, compressor station or pump station projects.
