Senior Data Engineer – SAP & Master Data Migration Location: 100% Remote Contract Duration: 12 months, with possibility of extension Hours: 35 hours per week Industry: Manufacturing Important: This is not a general Data Engineer or reporting-focused role. The successful candidate must have direct experience with SAP Vendor Master Data, ERP/Master Data conversions, and data migration, along with strong SQL and Python skills. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a major SAP and supplier data transformation project. The main focus of this role is to migrate, clean, integrate, and manage supplier data across SAP ECC, Jaggaer SLM, and SAP S/4HANA. You will build and maintain data pipelines, ensure supplier information is accurate, remove duplicate records, and support the migration to SAP S/4HANA. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong experience with SAP Vendor Master Data, SQL, Python, ETL, and ERP data migration. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to move supplier master data from SAP ECC into Jaggaer SLM. Clean, standardize, validate, and consolidate supplier data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify duplicate supplier records and implement matching, merging, and deduplication rules. Support SAP integrations using IDocs, including CREMAS, data mapping, monitoring, troubleshooting, and error handling. Prepare supplier data for migration into SAP S/4HANA. Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure successful data migration. Develop automated data quality checks, exception reports, and validation scripts. Work with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and implementation teams to resolve data issues. Document data pipelines, migration processes, and technical procedures for ongoing support. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of Data Engineering experience. At least 2 full-cycle ERP or Master Data conversion projects. Strong hands-on experience with SAP Vendor Master Data. Knowledge of SAP tables LFA1, LFB1, LFM1, and LFBK. Experience with SAP IDocs, including WE02, WE19, and BD87. Advanced SQL and Python skills. Experience with at least one ETL or data migration tool, such as SAP Data Services, Syniti, SAP Migration Cockpit, Informatica, Snowflake, dbt, or Azure Data Factory. Hands-on experience with Master Data matching, deduplication, merging, and survivorship rules. Ability to translate business requirements into tested, version-controlled data transformation code. Nice to Have Experience with Jaggaer SLM, SRM, or Advantage. SAP S/4HANA Business Partner / CVI experience. Snowflake Cortex or AI-assisted data matching tools. Collibra or similar data governance tools. Supplier data validation using D&B, Tax ID, or bank account verification. CDMP certification or equivalent. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has strong hands-on experience with SAP supplier master data migration and integration. Understands how supplier data moves between SAP ECC, Jaggaer, and S/4HANA. Can independently develop SQL/Python scripts and ETL pipelines. Has experience resolving complex data quality and duplicate supplier issues.
