Senior Full Stack Developer – Toronto Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week Term: 6-month contract Rate: $70–$75/hour incorporated The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a collaborative Agile technology team building and enhancing cloud-native applications. This is a true full-stack position requiring strong experience across Java/Spring, React and AWS. You’ll contribute across front-end and back-end development, testing, deployment and overall application quality. What You’ll Do Develop front-end and back-end features using React, Java, Kotlin, Spring, Node.js and Hibernate Build and enhance scalable web applications and backend services Work with AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployments Develop and work with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL Participate in code reviews, debugging, refactoring and performance improvements Create unit, integration, system and performance tests Work with Docker and containerized applications Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives Collaborate closely with developers and other technical team members Must-Have Skills 5+ years of software engineering/full-stack development experience 5+ years with Java, Spring and backend development 5+ years with React/Redux and JavaScript/TypeScript 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience Strong SQL and PostgreSQL Strong understanding of AWS services including S3, ECS, Fargate, API Gateway, IAM and CloudFormation Docker experience Experience building and architecting web applications and backend services Comfortable with Python Agile development experience Strong debugging, code quality, branching and refactoring practices Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience Nice to Have Kotlin Node.js Hibernate Elasticsearch or other NoSQL technologies AWS Lambda and CloudWatch Ideal candidate: A hands-on senior developer who is equally comfortable contributing to backend Java/Spring development, React front-end development and AWS cloud environments, rather than specializing in only one area.
