Our client, an established employer in British Columbia, is seeking a Technical Writer to join their Technical Communications team. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing world-class user documentation for advanced-technology hardware and software systems, helping users easily navigate complex products and maximize their value. This is a 1-year contract with potential to extend, hybrid in Victoria, BC. What You’ll Do: • Gather and interpret technical information from multiple sources. Create explanatory 2D graphics using specific design software. Produce and edit installation guides and user manuals for new and existing products. Maintain and update a body of existing product documentation. Create and maintain HTML files for help systems and online documentation. Coordinate and collaborate with product teams to deliver content that aligns with business needs and timing. What You Bring: Demonstrated technical and promotional writing/illustration experience. Experience working on technical writing for both complex hardware and software products - a MUST Experience in desktop publishing and illustration software Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-player attitude and self-motivation.
