What To Expect We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Technical Project Manager to join our team and help build the next generation of high-speed, automated manufacturing equipment that powers Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. In this role, you’ll lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept through build—owning every detail from scope and schedule to budget and execution. You’ll collaborate with world-class engineers and technicians to bring cutting-edge automation to life, driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence at every stage. What You'll Do Drive end-to-end execution of machine development and build projects from concept through production handover Define and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans Serve as the key liaison across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication Coordinate internal and external reviews including FMEA, risk assessments, and project milestones Oversee equipment procurement, logistics, and installation activities including Site Acceptance Testing Monitor and report on project performance, proactively addressing risks to cost, schedule, and quality Support compliance, documentation, and system package preparation for all machine builds What You'll Bring Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience PMP certification or equivalent project management training 4+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or automation environments Strong understanding of machine build processes and automated equipment systems including robotics, vision, conveyors, PLCs, and HMIs Proficient in Microsoft Project and the full Microsoft Office suite Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, eDrawings, and Bluebeam Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with flexibility to travel internationally Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Company-paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurances RRSP with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Employee Assistance Program Parental Success Programs Sick and Vacation time, and Paid Holidays Tesla Babies program Tesla products, fitness discounts, and perks program Expected Compensation Associate Technical Project Mgr - $80,960 - $121,440/annual salary Technical Project Mgr - $96,800 - $145,200/annual salary Sr Technical Project Mgr - $114,400 - $164,400/annual salary Staff Technical Project Mgr - $127,600 - $177,600/annual salary Sr Staff Technical Project Mgr - $140,800 - $190,800/annual salary Principal Technical Project Mgr - $154,880 - $204,880/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Requirements

Requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 4 years of project management experience in manufacturing or automation. PMP certification and proficiency in design tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD are expected.
