Through the timely heritage of artisanal butchery, over 100,000 lbs of meat are processed daily and fulfilled by a team of butchers who convert fresh meat to custom specifications. Our distribution network uses a fleet 45 company trucks that make over 1,000 deliveries every day to customers across Ontario including premier hotels, casinos, event venues, restaurants, and foodservice establishments. Job Summary The Butcher Shoppe’s Chicken Cutters will work in a growing food industry and acquire knowledge of custom meat preparation. Qualifying candidates will work as a Chicken Cutter and will deliver high quality, custom-cut meats to meet the customer’s needs and order requirements. Job Qualifications and requirements * Preparing various chicken cuts and products * Preparing products and specialty items for the retail counter & food service * Taking orders and the fulfilling of customer orders * Inventory & quality controls * Preparation, weighing, packaging, labelling, & pricing in the processing areas * Good overall personal hygiene and cleanliness practices * Strict following of required safety protocols related to Ontario Health & Safety standards including sanitation and food safety practices * Physical strength ability to lift meat and meat products (30-50 lbs lbs min.) * Excellent organization skills * Motivation for continuous improvement and learning * Mechanical, technical and general problem-solving skills * Experience in the meat industry not required * Language: English proficiency sufficient to understand job tasks, follow safety requirements, and follow directions. * Education: Completion of post-secondary education. Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7AM - end time varies based on workload and delivery schedule approximately 5-6 PM. Saturday: 7AM - end time varies between 9-10AM. Monday - Friday: 7AM - end time varies based on workload and delivery schedule approximately 5-6 PM. Saturday: 7AM - end time varies between 9-10AM.
