Job Summary: The Centre is looking for a client and family focused clinician to join our key worker team. Key workers support children and youth with a variety of complex neurodevelopmental conditions. These include conditions such as Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or conditions with similar challenges. Children and youth eligible for the Key Worker program have delays in multiple areas of brain functioning such as self-control, daily living skills, attention, and planning Services we provide include giving information, assisting with behavioural strategies or life skills, and linking the family to appropriate services. We provide educational groups to parents and caregivers of children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorders, which cover topics such as lifespan development, advocacy, accessing community resources, and self-care. We also run parent support groups. Responsibilities: • Function as a family centered case worker • Function as a community services change agent • Serve as an internal (to the Centre) case coordinator to clients as assigned including performing intake functions • Work in accordance with the policies and procedures of The Centre Qualifications: • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Education (Special Education) or Nursing from a post-secondary institution of recognized standing. • Minimum 2 years experience facilitating a process of individual planning for children and youth aged 0 -19 years with complex developmental and/or behavioral needs, preferably including FASD, and their families and supporting families to access and coordinate an array of support services • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, or a second language an asset • Available vehicle and a valid BC Drivers License • Criminal record review and driver’s abstract acceptable to The Centre How to Apply: Please send you resume and cover letter to Human Resources: hiring@the-centre.org with the position title in the subject line. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Education, or Nursing with at least 2 years of experience in individual planning for youth with complex needs. A valid BC Driver's License, an available vehicle, and a clear criminal record review are required.
