We are seeking part-time Curling Instructors to join our Curling team for the 2026/2027 Fall and Winter Seasons. As a Curling Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging recreational programs that introduce participants to the fundamentals of curling while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced instructors and contribute to a growing community of curling enthusiasts at the Glencoe Club. Responsibilities: * Provide service and instruction excellence to members and guests through the delivery of high-quality programs, activities and services including our ‘Junior Curling’ and ‘Getting Started’ programs, and private lessons * Provide clear, constructive feedback to participants to help improve their technique and understanding of the game * Assist in the planning and coordination of curling lessons, drills, and practice sessions and help to ensure timely and effective communication between members, staff and your team * Monitor participant safety and enforce facility rules and guidelines * Actively collaborate with the Curling team to continuously improve program content and delivery * Ensure all equipment and curling areas are properly maintained and set up before and after sessions * Ensure compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience in curling including a strong knowledge of rules, techniques, and equipment * Previous experience in coaching, instructing, or working with groups in a recreational or sports setting is preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage participants of different ages and skill sets * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, to execute exceptional service to our members * Experience in delivering fun and engaging activities while demonstrating high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity * Patience with young members * First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset Why choose us: * An inclusive and diverse working environment highlighted by creativity and collaboration, featuring top industry leaders * Numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth including training and development * Delicious, fulsome employee meals prepared daily * Employee referral program that rewards the additional talent you bring * Numerous employee recognition programs to reward you for your incredible efforts Additional Details: These are Seasonal, part-time positions that report to the Curling Director. Successful candidates may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
