Job summary

Campus Nissan Victoria is looking for a Shipper & Receiver to be part of our Parts Department. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy dealership environment and be part of a team that supports both our Parts and Service Departments. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys staying busy. Previous experience in automotive parts or a dealership environment is an asset, but we’re also open to someone who is looking to learn, gain experience, and build a career in the automotive industry. A Day in the Life Receiving all incoming parts and labeling Customer repair orders Inspecting parts for damages in shipping, accuracy of the part Responsible for keeping an organized parts inventory department, daily Return damaged or unneeded parts Posting of parts to inventory and repair orders and appointments Pick parts for technician distribution Maintains efficient communications within his/her department, as well as with other departments Ability to work independently Ability to work in a fast pace environment Participating in training programs and attends school and events sponsored by the manufacturer Keeping abreast of federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws governing the removal of hazardous waste, safety, etc.; understands and observes them Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and frequent carrying of loads up to and over 35 lbs Ability to push, pull, climb up the Step Ladder; bending and reaching overhead and walking on a regular basis Standing for prolong period of times Ability to perform repetitive motion Assist with other shop duties What We’re Looking For A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report Customer focused mindset with the ability to build rapport and trust with internal team and external vendors Previous experience in automotive industry is considered an asset Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-tasks and prioritize responsibilities CDK, Import and Provincial Insurance knowledge is an asset Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office - Outlook and Excel Ability to learn Job specific Management software Basic Understanding of vehicle body components Reliable, punctual, and dependable This is a physically active role and requires the following: Frequent walking thought out the dealership building Walking and/or standing for long periods Time spent outdoors in various weather, including sun, rain, wind, sow, cold and heat. Weather conditions are monitored for safety as needed.
