About the Role As a Marketing Account Manager, you’ll act as the strategic lead and point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts. From marketing campaigns to digital content to event support, you’ll oversee all marketing deliverables, ensuring each client’s brand shines and business goals are met. This is a client-facing, remote role ideally suited for someone based in the Greater Toronto Area (monthly in-person collaboration required). You’ll work closely with our cross-functional team and report directly to our CEO). JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Management + Client Strategy Act as the primary marketing lead for multiple client accounts Lead client meetings and strategy sessions Craft and present high-impact marketing plans that align with client goals Track milestones, delegate to internal team, and ensure timely delivery of all projects Event & Speaking Engagement Support Maintain a master calendar of relevant industry events and opportunities for clients Research and recommend new trade shows, conferences, and partnerships Coordinate logistics for speaking engagements, booth builds, event collateral, and shipments Craft promotional plans for events and support day-of materials and digital communications Pitch clients for speaking opportunities that elevate their thought leadership Content & Communications Lead the development of digital content strategies across a wide range of tech industries Manage and maintain detailed marketing content calendars Write and edit content including blogs, case studies, newsletters, white papers, and social media copy Identify and clip standout soundbites from interviews and webinars for future content Edit short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, LinkedIn snippets, etc.) Collaborate with designers on branding, assets, and campaign visuals Optimize content for SEO across web, blog, and social platforms Track hours and deliverables using agency tools WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field 4–5+ years of marketing or communications experience (agency experience a strong asset) A confident strategist who can think big-picture while managing day-to-day execution Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills Experience with digital marketing, content strategy, and campaign execution Comfortable leading client calls, presenting strategies, and managing timelines Familiar with event marketing and logistics (conferences, trade shows, activations) Highly organized, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented Basic video editing skills (for social clips) and familiarity with social platforms Strong collaboration skills and a team-first mindset Based in or near the Greater Toronto Area with availability during ET business hours Why You'll Love Working at MicDrop A fast-paced, values-driven agency with an entrepreneurial mindset Opportunity to work with innovative startups, scaleups, and industry leaders Direct exposure to founders, executives, and media relationships Meaningful opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career growth Flexible remote work environment with optional in-person collaboration A collaborative, high-performing team that is supportive and driven COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary: $75,000-$85,000 (competitive and commensurate with experience) Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and wellness coverage Paid vacation plus four bonus floating holidays Paid sick days Paid day off for your birthday Annual winter break Annual professional development budget for courses, conferences, and certifications Opportunities for travel to client events, conferences, and team retreats A collaborative and supportive team environment TO APPLY: To apply for the Marketing Account Manager role, please send your resume and a cover letter that WOWS us to: careers@themicdropagency.com Note: Applications submitted only through LinkedIn will not be considered.
