Job summary
Job Summary: Performs bookkeeping duties such as coding, recording, posting and processing day-to-day transactions. Processes one or more of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. Maintains and updates accounting records. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Prepare financial information and reports on a monthly, quarterly, annually and ad hoc basis, for management and/or regulatory authorities 2. Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial accounts and records, and identify and resolve discrepancies or problems and/or recommend solutions 3. Ensure all accounting entries are entered accurately and in a timely manner; maintain and recommend improvements to reporting and internal control procedures 4. Assist with the development of appropriate action plans for the resolution of discrepancies and potential problems 5. Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings 6. Understand and compile statistics reporting 7. Coordinate with other units/departments to ensure financial data and systems are updated in a timely manner and to improve productivity and customer service 8. Maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external business contacts 9. Provide technical guidance and assistance to other staff members 10. General office support as needed, such as coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling, agenda management, ordering office supplies, overseeing the work of various suppliers, etc.; 11. Participating in special projects, as needed; 12. Other related tasks. Qualification: * Proven bookkeeping experience * Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles * Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records * Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers * Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software * Proficiency in English and in MS Office * Customer service orientation and negotiation skills * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail * BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
