We’re growing! And looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic candidate to join our Biogas operations team for the position of Plant Operator I located at our Biogas facility in Elmira, ON. Skyline's biogas facility in Elmira, ON has been operating since 2014 as one of Canada's largest biogas facilities. It converts up to 110,000 tones of organic waste into approximately 25,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually (equivalent to powering 2,179 homes annually). Compensation: Starting at $30.00 per hour. Duties include: Perform or assist with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment. Identify problems that arise and resolve or report them. Proper use and documentation of programs utilized in the preventative maintenance of the plant operation. Carryout site inspections and audits, as required. Ensure compliance with Skyline policies and procedures including participation in on-going job related training. All other duties as required. Qualifications: Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. General computer skills. Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and energy. Multi-task, organize work flow and remain detail oriented. Work independently as well as with a team. Work a flexible schedule. Good communication skills and effective English speaking and writing skills. Experienced in safe work practices as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ability to follow safe work practices and make proper use of CSA approved protective equipment and safety information supplied to the property. Education & Experience: High School Diploma required. Previous experience in manufacturing or plant setting an asset. Experienced in safe work practices as per the Province’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.
