Group Retirement Account Executive Toronto, ON | Hybrid – 2 Days/Week in Office | Full-Time, Permanent Build a Book. Own the Relationship. Grow Your Career. Our client is a well-established, privately held insurance brokerage with a strong reputation in Employee Benefits and Group Retirement Programs. The firm has been operating since 1985 and works with employers across Canada to design and maximize the value of their benefits, pension, and retirement programs. Due to continued growth and an increased focus on expanding their Group Retirement Services (GRS) practice, they are looking to add a Group Retirement Account Executive to their Toronto team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Group Retirement professional who wants to take on greater sales, business development, and revenue ownership while continuing to provide high-value advice to clients. The Opportunity This is not a purely service-focused role. You will have the opportunity to build and grow your own book of Group Retirement business through: Developing new client relationships and revenue opportunities Expanding Group Retirement relationships within existing Group Benefits clients Leveraging your network and business development capabilities to identify opportunities Leading discovery meetings, sales conversations, and proposal presentations Becoming a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers Owning client relationships from initial opportunity through long-term retention and growth Success will be measured through new revenue growth, client retention, plan asset growth, and overall client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Build and grow a personal book of Group Retirement business Identify opportunities with both new prospects and existing clients Lead sales presentations, discovery meetings, and proposals Develop long-term relationships with employers and key decision-makers Take ownership of revenue performance and client retention Client Advisory & Relationship Management Act as a trusted consultant on Group Retirement plan design, investments, implementation, and governance Lead client meetings and discussions with senior stakeholders Manage RFP and vendor selection processes Provide recommendations regarding record-keeper partnerships Work closely with internal teams, record-keepers, and other partners to deliver integrated solutions Prepare and present investment reviews and annual plan performance reports Deliver retirement education and employee enrolment support What We're Looking For 5+ years of Group Retirement Services experience within a brokerage or consulting environment Strong knowledge of Capital Accumulation Plans (CAPs), Canadian pension legislation, and group retirement savings plans Proven experience or strong interest in sales, business development, and revenue growth Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to build trusted relationships with senior-level clients Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline CFP, RPA, CEBS, or similar designation is an asset Group Benefits experience is an asset French/bilingual capabilities are an asset, particularly for national client portfolios Compensation & Career Opportunity Competitive base salary + commission Uncapped earning potential Compensation directly tied to performance and revenue growth Opportunity to build a long-term, valuable book of business Join an established independent firm with a growing Group Retirement practice Why Join?
