Role: Mainframe Automation Specialist Location: Remote Duration: 1 year contract Key Skills: • Mainframe automation administration • CA OPS/MVS and IBM System Automation for z/OS • Automation rule / event coding & migration • Scripting languages (REXX, CLIST) ROLE PROFILE Job Description/ Responsibilities Required Professional and Technical Expertise: • 5+ years working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy or support role • Demonstrated strong written and communications skills • The ability to use TSO and ISPF • JCL skills. • Ability to write REXX and Working Knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB) • z/OS Automation Migration Projects Experience should include implementing and using following products, with a desire to expand your skills to cover others: NetView for z/OS; System Automation for z/OS ; CA OPS/MVS Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise: • Knowledge of other Z software, including the system operation, configuration and automation, z/OS system startup and shutdown, SMP/E • Knowledge of the products that compete against the IBM products listed previously. • Knowledge with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z • 5+ years working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy or support role • The ability to use TSO and ISPF • JCL skills. • Ability to write REXX and Working Knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB) • z/OS Automation Migration Projects • NetView for z/OS; System Automation for z/OS; CA OPS/MVS Years of Experience: 16.00 Years of Experience Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
