Job summary

Intermediate Project Engineer Location: Calgary, Alberta Salary: TBD per hour Job Description: Independently perform hands‐on designs, calculations, and evaluations to produce deliverables such as budget estimates, equipment specifications, and equipment sizing Initiate and receive engineering drawings for multiple projects Provide technical construction support Provide guidance to junior design staff where necessary Perform work in accordance with existing quality control procedures Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines Work closely with project manager and team members to identify problems and determine acceptable solutions Job Requirements: University graduate degree or technical diploma in mechanical, chemical or petroleum engineering with minimum three years’ experience in Canadian oil and gas facilities and pipeline design in an EPCM environment Well versed with relevant CSA, ASME, API, AER, OGC, and SER codes and standards Experience in specifying and evaluating equipment such as separators, compressors, flare systems, pumps, and other process equipment Design experience with pipeline and piping systems Practical knowledge with the principles and methods of engineering in oil and gas production and processing reduction Practical knowledge with gas compression, dehydration, refrigeration, pipeline systems, oil treating, storage and handling English written and verbal communication skills Versatile with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project along with specialty software such as HYSYS and PIPE‐FLO Field certificates such as H2S Alive, First Aid Proven problem‐solving abilities
