The role analyzes revenue trends, billing activities, arrears performance, RGI reviews, tenant account transactions, and revenue leakage risks by collecting and evaluating information from multiple data sources. The incumbent exercises independent judgment to identify root causes of discrepancies, assess financial impacts, develop recommendations, and support process improvements that enhance revenue accuracy and operational effectiveness. The position prepares analytical reports, communicates findings to management and business partners, and provides guidance to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement of revenue-related processes. What you'll do Analyze residential billing data and validation processes to identify discrepancies, assess financial impacts, and recommend corrective actions; collaborate with Operations and IT to resolve complex billing issues and improve billing accuracy and controls. Conduct detailed rent roll reconciliations and revenue variance analysis to identify trends, billing inconsistencies, and potential revenue leakage; provide recommendations and work with Operations to implement corrective actions and minimize revenue loss. Lead and support revenue leakage analysis initiatives through the review of financial, operational, and tenant account data from multiple sources; identify root causes, evaluate financial impacts, and recommend business process and system improvements to optimize revenue and strengthen internal controls. Perform ongoing analytical reviews and monthly revenue management activities, including but not limited to: Preparing PAP returns and trending report to Operations; Reviewing transfer accounts with balances to ensure Managing LMR interest distribution and LMR reconciliation; Reviewing deposit accounting, large dr and credit balance and tenant refund Providing guidance to front line staff on resolving account level issues Analyze RGI reviews, arrears collection activities, LOE trends, and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, assess revenue impacts, and recommend process improvements; provide analytical guidance and training to frontline staff and business partners. Prepare and present revenue trend analysis, variance reports, and recommendations for management review; provide insights to support operational and financial decision-making related to revenue optimization and risk mitigation. Support past arrears collection by reviewing monthly files sent to collection agencies, monitoring repayment agreements tracking, handling inquiries from former tenants, and guiding the Senior Collection Clerk on account-level activities Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly financial and operational reports, identify significant trends and variances, determine root causes, and provide recommendations to management to support informed decision-making. Work with business partners and IT consultants to conduct testing and validation related to system or process changes Monitor tenant annual income reviews and support on City compliance reporting requirements Provide analytical support and subject matter expertise to Operations, TSC, Finance, and business partners by interpreting financial information, recommending corrective actions, and supporting the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements. Perform other duties as assigned What you'll need University degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce Minimum 5 years’ experience in social housing and property management is required. Strong knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and Housing Services Act (HSA) Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial and operational data, identify trends, assess impacts, and develop recommendations to support decision-making. Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting, audit requirements, and data analysis techniques used to identify risks, revenue leakage, and process improvement opportunities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present analytical findings, provide recommendations, influence stakeholders, and deliver guidance and training to business partners and operational staff. Advance proficiency in MS Excel. Extensive experience in Yardi system. Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis, interpret information from multiple sources, prepare analytical reports, and provide recommendations that support operational and financial decision-making.
