Expected Salary Range: $51851 - $64814 Annually Target Variable Performance Pay: 6% The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification. The Administrator, Public Affairs and Marketing provides administrative and operational support to a department responsible for communications, marketing, public affairs, digital engagement, community relations, Indigenous Relations, and sustainability initiatives. The role coordinates schedules, meetings, events, employee engagement programs, and departmental processes while supporting the delivery of projects and activities. Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external partners, the role contributes to the efficient operation of the department through strong organization, collaboration, planning and customer service. This posting is for an existing vacancy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides comprehensive administrative support to leaders and team members within Public Affairs and Marketing, including calendar management, meeting coordination, scheduling, employee engagement planning, and preparation of presentations and materials Acts as a key point of contact for internal and external inquiries, coordinating responses and facilitating communication across stakeholders Coordinates team meetings, workshops, stakeholder sessions, community events, and departmental activities, including logistics, materials, registrations, and follow-up actions Supports communications, marketing, customer engagement, public affairs, and community relations initiatives through project coordination, document preparation, and administrative support Coordinates onboarding and offboarding activities, including access requests, workstation setup, technology provisioning, and related administrative requirements in partnership with IT, Facilities, and other internal support teams Maintains departmental records, databases, invoices, purchase orders, digital assets, and document management systems in accordance with organizational standards Assists with the preparation, formatting, distribution, and tracking of reports, presentations, communications materials, newsletters, and other departmental documents REQUIREMENTS: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Communications or a related field Two (2) to three (3) years of administrative experience providing support to multiple leaders within a corporate environment Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience coordinating meetings, calendars, events, onboarding activities, and stakeholder communications Demonstrated experience using social media platforms in a corporate setting Experience coordinating projects and familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or Microsoft Planner Experience creating engaging content for social media channels, such as photography or simple videos Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to assess requests, prioritize tasks, and organize work effectively to ensure timely completion Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong political acumen, with the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information Highly responsible and proactive, with a customer-focused mindset and a proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders Demonstrated self-motivation, creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to solve problems independently TOTAL REWARDS To support the overall well-being and success of our employees, Toronto Hydro provides a comprehensive total rewards package which includes: 100% employer paid Health & Dental benefits 24/7 access to Employee & Family Assistance Program and Virtual Healthcare Company-paid life insurance and long term disability Spending account to support fitness goals (e.g. gym memberships) Competitive paid time off (including vacation and parental leave) Defined Benefits Pension Plan through OMERS Career development and tuition reimbursement Exciting employee engagement and appreciation events throughout the year This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs.
