Role Description The Leisure Services Coordinator supports the delivery of recreation, culture, and community programs while providing administrative support to the Leisure Services Director. This position is responsible for coordinating programs and events, promoting municipal recreation opportunities, supervising seasonal staff, supporting daily operations, and building positive relationships with residents, volunteers, and community partners to enhance quality of life in the Town of Foam Lake. Key Responsibilites Coordinate the planning, delivery, promotion, and evaluation of recreation programs, special events, and community initiatives. Provide administrative support including correspondence, reports, records management, scheduling, and departmental communications. Develop marketing materials and maintain the Town's website, social media platforms, and other promotional channels. Supervise, orient, train, and schedule staff at the Foam Lake Visitor Centre and Campground. Provide excellent customer service by responding to public inquiries and assisting with facility bookings and registrations. Assist with budgeting, grant applications, sponsorship opportunities, and financial tracking for programs and projects. Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, volunteers, residents, and municipal stakeholders. Support departmental operations and perform other related duties as required. Desired Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary education or experience in recreation, community development, public administration, or a related field is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of recreation programming, event planning, community engagement, and general office administration. Experience supervising staff and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using recreation software, Canva, social media, and other digital communication tools is considered an asset. Key Responsibilites Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends to support programs and special events.
