Company Description The Town of Stony Plain is the local government authority responsible for planning and delivering municipal services in Stony Plain, a Canadian urban community of approximately 18,000 people on the traditional Indigenous lands of Treaty 6 peoples. Job Description Are you an energetic team player who enjoys working in a public setting? The Town of Stony Plain is currently accepting applications for up to four (4) seasonal positions supporting our Outdoor Rink facilities. We are looking for a candidate who: Has the ability to operate and maintain outdoor rink facilities safely. Can perform physical labour, including garbage collection and graffiti removal. Enjoys working outdoors in various weather conditions. Is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications Conditions of Employment: C.S.A. steel-toed boots A clean Criminal Records check A Valid Alberta class 5 driver’s license, and a satisfactory driver’s Abstract. Current First Aid certification would be considered a definite asset. What we do for you: Wellness allowance Monthly Employee Draw Additional Information In accordance with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955, current Collective Agreement, the wage for these positions is $21.97 per hour. Conditions of employment include: C.S.A. steel-toed boots, a Criminal Records Check, a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License, and a Driver’s Abstract. We’re hiring for one (1) full-time (40 hours/week) and three (3) part-time (20–30 hours/week) outdoor rink attendants. The full-time incumbent is expected to start mid-November, and the three part-time incumbents are expected to start December 1st, 2026, depending on weather conditions and operational needs.
