Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Controls Engineer for a temporary assignment in Cambridge, Ontario. This is a 12-month contract. The pay range for this role is between $40.00 - $49.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K. Toyota’s Production Engineering Stamping Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Project Lead. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage equipment procurement and installation projects for tooling refurbishment, safety upgrades, and vehicle model change. Reporting to the Stamping Equipment Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Stamping Equipment department's objective to install, start-up, troubleshoot, modify, and assist the production plants with stamping equipment upgrades and new equipment installations. Description What you’ll be doing Lead a project team consisting of controls engineers, technicians, contractors, and equipment vendors to implement stamping equipment projects from budget development through production handover to meet the project KPI targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost. Research, develop, and implement new safety, quality assurance, and production technologies. Through training and On the Job Development, become a Stamping Equipment technical expert. Lead and train new engineers and co-ops on stamping equipment best practices. Support and contribute to Toyota global information sharing and Kaizen development Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering (or higher), MBA is an asset Manufacturing or Stamping Industry experience – 5 years required Project management experience – 5 years required Be eligible to become a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. [PEng] Strong ability to analyze electrical and mechanical drawings, and PLC. Strong documentation and reporting skills for clear communication to stakeholders utilizing Microsoft365 applications such as Excel, PowerBI, Project, and PowerPoint. Added Bonus Experience in OSHA, ANSI, CSA, ESA, TSSA, NFPA regulations and codes. Experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, Catia, and MotoSim. Be eligible to become a Project Management Professional.
