Customer Service Representative Shift: Monday to Friday (08:00-17:00) TRANSX LTD Operating for over 50 years, the TransX Group of Companies is one of the largest Canadian providers of premier integrated transportation and logistics services across North America. TransX Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Operations Department. Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, the CSR is responsible for developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships between the organization and the customer while supporting organizational values and objectives. The incumbent promptly responds to customer needs, utilizes TMW systems to provide accurate updates, and proactively communicates any service disruptions or delays. Building strong, professional relationships with internal operational teams, terminal personnel, drivers, and external customers is key to success in this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Communication & Relationship Building: Provide live customer service and support. Perform live freight tracking with proactive communication regarding any service disruptions. Participate in customer calls and meetings as required to build lasting relationships. * Order Creation & Maintenance: Ensure all tenders are accurately entered into the system with all pertinent information required to service the load on time. Enter all pickup/delivery appointments, service alerts for disruptions, and additional demurrage, detention, or extra costs for billing. * Freight Balance & Service: Actively source loads when freight needs do not meet network balance. Create Level of Service (LOS) reporting, identify service gaps, and participate in on-time service improvement plans. Perform other operational duties as assigned. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE * Qualifications: Secondary Education required. * Experience: Logistics, supply chain, or trucking industry experience is considered a strong asset. * Technical Skills: Computer literate and proficient; experience with TMW or operational software is an asset. Knowledge of the trucking industry and associated rules/regulations (e.g., Hours of Service) is preferred. * Core Competencies: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interactions. * Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. * Strong analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities. * Ability to adapt to daily operational changes, manage stressful situations professionally, and make decisions with limited supervision.
