Job summary
Description Tri-National is currently seeking a Safety Administrator to join our team! As a member of the Safety Department, you will assist in implementing and coordinating programs and processes to ensure regulatory compliance throughout our business. If you’re passionate about safety, committed to continuous improvement and want to join a world-class team, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Perform inspections of driver’s vehicles and credentials ensuring they are in compliance with company policy and the law. Manage and maintain monthly Driver Violation Summary Letters and spreadsheet. Perform shop inspections. Administer driver training and counseling as needed. Perform high volume new hire orientations. Assist with coordinating random drug and alcohol tests. Assist with other department needs as requested. Requirements Possesses good communication, counseling and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates the ability to manage stress, multitask, & prioritize. Prior experience in Safety and DOT regulations in Transportation, preferred. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred. Proven track record of achievements, a plus. Prior supervision of OTR Drivers, a plus. Knowledgeable of HOS Regulations and FMCSR Regulations. Knowledge of DOT regulations, with emphasis on hours of service. Looking for someone who is self-motivated and detail-oriented.
